Have you ever wondered what books are being used in Northumberland County Schools? Here’s your chance to find out. In anticipation of new book purchases this year, the schools are inviting public inspection and comments on their short list of proposed textbooks and teaching materials. These materials are available at the School Board building in Heathsville – the invitation runs through March 11th so the clock is ticking!
From the School Board website:
“Northumberland Elementary School, through the hard work of Mrs. Martha Williams, Ms. Lisa White and NES Teachers, has narrowed the selection of state vetted and approved curriculum to Amplify and Open Court. These textbooks and materials can be reviewed at the School Board Office from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, M-F through March 11, 2024. Comments can be submitted through a dropbox or emailed to [email protected].”
