If you are committed to or even just thinking about running for a local government position this year, there are state resources available to guide you through the process. The Virginia Department of Elections has a handy-dandy guide for all candidates and would-be candidates, downloaded for your convenience HERE.

This year, District 2 and District 3 both will hold elections for Board of Supervisors and School Board positions. District polling places and current office holders can be found HERE.

  • The last day for Republican and Democrat Candidate filing is Thursday, April 4,2024 at 5:00 pm
  • The last day for Independent and Non-Primary Party Candidate filing is Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 7:00 pm
