Already?  Yes.  The Community Comment period on the 2025-26 School Budget begins next month and ends on November 6th. (see September 9, 2024 school board meeting for details: HERE) 

Last year, before budget negotiations and public hearings, the proposed real estate tax rate increase was 13%.  After some difficult budget negotiations and due in large part to your input, that rate was adjusted down to 5%!  Your continued participation is essential to either avoid or slow tax increases again this year.

We are getting a jump on the process this year so there is ample time to spread the word and gather input. Your strictly anonymous responses will be shared with the School Board, Joint Finance Committee, and the Board of Supervisors. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and submit your answers by clicking ‘Finish Survey’ once you have completed the questions. You will have the option of entering your email address to get a copy of your responses – just skip this step if you do not want a copy.

Remember, community input helped change the course of the past two years’ budgets and with your help, will likely do the same this year. Thank you, as always, for participating.
